Lee High School, he left his town Montgomery. He joined “The Smoke Ring.” He later joined “MSFunk,” which was a Chicago-administered outfit. He played music for three significant years. In the period between 1979 and 1981, Tommy dated a popular actress Linda Blair. He married actress Pamela Donnelly in 1986. The couple gave birth to a daughter named Hannah in 1987. It became a super-duper hit album that brought him into the limelight.

The solo band of Tommy opened music concerts for “The Kinks” (1984) and for “Rush” from 1987 to 1988.
