Alexander Vlahos is a Welsh actor who achieved fame as Philippe, Duke of Orleans in the TV historical drama series “Versailles” (2015-2018), and is also known to the world as Mordred in the TV fantasy-drama series “Merlin” (2012), in addition to other roles he has secured so far in his young career.

Alexander Vlahos was born on the 30th July 1988, in Tumble, Carmarthenshire Wales; of Greek and Welsh ancestry he spent his childhood in Llantrisant, Mid-Glamorgan.
Before pursuing acting Alexander played hockey, and was an active player from the age of eight until he turned 18. However, as he got older he became interested in acting, and enrolled at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff, from which he eventually graduated in 2009.
Alexander started his career with the role of Dylan in the TV drama series “Crash” (2009-2010), and continued with the part of Lewis Cutler in the soap opera “Doctors” (2010) in the episode “Master of the Universe”, which earned several award nominations, including the Best Single Episode and Spectacular Scene of the Year by the British Soap Awards.

From 2012 to 2016, Alexander worked on the series of audiobooks – “The Confessions of Dorian Gray” – as the lead character Dorian Gray, and voicing Hamlet in the audio drama “Hamlet”, both for Big Finish Productions.
