The Wealth of Reilly Dolman
Reilly Dolman has a net worth estimated to be over $1 million, earned through success in acting, since 2007, working on both films and television.
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Reilly was born during a leap year, and at a young age had no interest in acting. However, attending high school he focused on the digital media and started to learn more about the film industry. This piqued his interest, and he soon started going to auditions to try and break into Hollywood.
In 2007, he made his debut in an episode of the series “Bionic Woman”, a reboot and reimagining of the late 1970s TV series called “The Bionic Woman”. The original was a spin-off of the show “The Six Million Dollar Man”, and both were based on the Martin Caidin novel called “Cyborg”.
It focuses on a woman who receives experimental implants which gives her superhuman abilities. She then agrees to work for the company that gave her the implants.
After focusing on his studies for a few years, Reilly then got his breakthrough when he was cast in “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”. The film is an adaptation of the Rick Riordan novel “The Lightning Thief”, and the first film in what became a series, starring Logan Lerman and Alexandra Daddario.
The film received a lot of negative responses, due to the lack of faithfulness towards the novel.
Continued Acting Work
During the same year, Dolman was cast in the film “Flicka 2” alongside Tammin Sursok and Patrick Warburton. It was released direct to DVD and tells the story of a girl who becomes friends with a horse after being moved to the country against her will.
More opportunities opened up for him, and he had a role in the Canadian series “SGU: Stargate Universe”. It is a part of the “Stargate” franchise, following the adventures of a team who find themselves several billion light-years away from the Milky Way aboard an ancient spaceship. Their goal is to find a way back home to earth. The show was canceled after a few seasons.
He also worked on the horror film “Scarecrow”, which was one of the original films aired on Syfy, and part of Syfy’s “Maneater Series”, joining the likes of “Mothman” and “Carny”.
On two occasions, he has worked as a guest on the television show “Supernatural”. The series follows the story of two brothers who hunt monsters and other supernatural threats. It is the longest-running US live-action fantasy show, set to end during its 15th season.
Recent Projects and Travelers
In 2014, Reilly had a guest role in “Rush”, a series which aired on the USA Network for several months before being canceled. He was then cast as a guest in the show “The Tomorrow People” which aired on the CW; the focus of the show is people who develop psionic capabilities as a result of evolution.
He also did a bit of work with Nickelodeon as a part of “The Troop”, which follows the story of a teenage trio who fight supernatural beings in their town.
After working on both “Alex Annie Alexis Ann” and “After School Special”, he then got one of his biggest roles, in the Netflix series “Travelers”, a collaboration between Netflix and the Canadian network Showcase, and starring Eric McCormack and Mackenzie Porter.
The show is set in a post-apocalyptic future where people called travelers have their consciousness sent back to the present where they must do their best to minimize their negative effects on the timeline. In the story, he is an historian who travels and must assume the role of a heroin-addicted college student. The show ran for three seasons before it was canceled.
Reilly Dolman is single, and he is the type to keep private about this aspect of his life.
He is very interested in horses, developing a fascination for them while working on the set of “Flicka 2”. He is also a big fan of the actor Jack Black, and often recalls the actor’s comedic moments.
Following the end of “Travelers”, no new acting projects have been reported for him. However, he loves doing voice work when he has the time, and has narrated several audiobooks including “Son of the Dawn”.
