Early Life and Education
Shazi was raised in Houston by her mother who is American, and her father who is from Pakistan, thus Shazi is Asian-American; she has a younger brother born in May 1998.
Shazi has a relatively strong bond with her paternal grandparents, considering that she sees them only once a year at the most, as they are both living in Pakistan – she often shares pictures of them on her Instagram account. Shazi grew up watching movies and TV series, and became interested in the film industry at about the age of eight, She attended a high school in Houston, and after matriculation enrolled into a performing and visual arts school in Houston. Shazi came under the spotlight after she appeared in a single episode of the “High Maintenance” TV series in 2016, playing Eesha in this comedy, which explores the private lives of unique New York individuals who are connected by their weed (cannabis) deliveryman. She played Ananya in the “Brad’s Status” comedy drama film shot in 2017, which tells the story of a father who takes his son to tour colleges on the East Coast, and while at it, he meets an old friend who makes him question his life choices – the film stars Ben Stiller and Austin Abrams.
From 2017 to 2018, Shazi played the recurring role of Amanda Neel in 13 episodes of the “Salvation” drama sci-fi TV series – the show follows an MIT graduate student and a tech superstar who find out that an asteroid is six months away from hitting Earth. Shazi is also popular for portraying Jaya in 12 episodes of the “God Friended Me” comedy drama series since 2018, which is a story about an atheist whose life turns upside down after God adds him as a friend on Facebook.

It is rumored that Shazi is currently seeing Christian Navarro, an actor who is best known for starring in the “13 Reasons Why” TV series – the rumors began circling the internet after Shazi uploaded a picture of them together onto her Instagram account, with the caption reading ‘Happy Birthdayy baby ily’.
It is believed that the two started going out in 2016, but as Shazi stopped uploading pictures of them sometime in the summer of 2018, some sources say that the two might have broken-up – reportedly, Christian is currently seeing Kassidy Sierra Ramirez.

He was raised in a middle-class family, and struggled to win his first roles while working several jobs to support himself – he made his debut film appearance in the “Day of the Dead 2: Contagium” in 2005, and in 2007 made his debut TV series appearance in “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”. Shazi was quite active while attending high school, as she studied, practiced acting, dancing, and singing – she was also interested in journalism but after finding out she has talent for acting, she decided to completely focus on it. She is a lover of animals, and has a pet dog who is often featured in the photos she uploads onto Instagram.
